http://ps22chorus.blogspot.com It was our last day of chorus practice for the school year, and I wanted to record the group one last time. So I taught them a harmony for an original song I cowrote in college. I wrote the music and the melody and some guy Nat, sorry I don't remember your last name dude, wrote the lyrics. I've always loved this tune, and having the chorus sing on it obviously only helps. The PS22 Chorus is not a middle, intermediate, or high school group. It is comprised of about 70 public elementary school fifth graders from New York City. Visit our above website for more!

Slow squeezed for maximum freshness, this is Eric Whitacre's "Sleep" performed by Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir. P.S. Can you find Waldo? If you find him, don't give it away. Keep it fun for everyone else!
http://ps22chorus.blogspot.com Here the PS22 Chorus of 2009 tackle one of the most straightforward and beautiful Tori Amos ballads, my dad's favorite actually, 1000 Oceans from the classic 1999 double album, TO VENUS AND BACK. (I highly advise the November 11, 2007 version off of the Nashville Tennessee Legs And Boots official Tori Amos bootlegs from her latest American Doll Posse tour) which I believe available on iTunes, although there are other wonderful live recordings of this song floating around.) The kids sound brilliant here and Allie outdoes herself on the solo. It's hard to believe they learned this in two practices, and Allie just learned her part THAT MORNING! This may wind up being one of the best PS22 Chorus Tori Amos covers of all time! Thanks to Mr. Chris Eberle for playing guitar with us, and Miss Lisa as always for her brilliant filming! :) Make sure you watch our rehearsal video with a few of the chorus members after school where the kids sing it a capella. Silly but fun and nice. The PS22 Chorus is not an intermediate school or high school chorus. Believe it or not, these kids are just a public elementary school chorus, and have soared to great heights, singing with the likes of Tori Amos, Crowded House, and Judy Torres. They were featured in USA Today, The New York Daily News, and on the VH1 blog) Perez Hilton even featured the chorus on two separate occasions on his blog. They will be appearing in the upcoming and updated version of the PBS classic Electric Company. These kids are on a roll.... UPDATE: Perez Hilton put this video on his blog, making this the third time he has covered the PS22 Chorus kid celebrities. Thanks to Perez for his support.... :)

http://ps22chorus.blogspot.com/ In this segment -- oh my god -- my chorus and I got to accompany Tori on an acoustic guitar based live version of Father's Son. We were disappointed at first that there would be no piano, but I spent some time the night before practicing a few of her new songs on the guitar, just in case I could get her to sing something. And things worked out -- perhaps even better this way. How often do we get to hear Tori singing without piano accompaniment? Here she teaches the chorus and sings with them on her new song, Father's Son. It was UNREAL, SURREAL, ETC.!!! MY CHORUS GOT TO SING WITH TORI! Anyway, Father's Son is off Tori's new album American Doll Posse which features: Yo George (Isabel) - 1:25 Big Wheel (Tori) - 3:15 Bouncing off Clouds (Clyde) - 4:06 Teenage Hustling (Pip) - 4:02 Digital Ghost (Tori) - 3:50 You Can Bring Your Dog (Santa) - 4:04 Mr. Bad Man (Isabel) - 3:18 Fat Slut (Pip) - 0:41 Girl Disappearing (Clyde) - 4:00 Secret Spell (Santa) - 4:04 Devils and Gods (Isabel) - 0:53 Body and Soul (Pip and Santa) - 3:56 Father's Son (Tori) - 3:59 Programmable Soda (Santa) - 1:25 Code Red (Tori) - 5:27 Roosterspur Bridge (Clyde) - 4:01 Beauty of Speed (Clyde) - 4:06 Almost Rosey (Isabel) - 5:26 Velvet Revolution (Pip) - 1:19 Dark Side of the Sun (Isabel) - 4:16 Posse Bonus (Tori) - 1:45 Smokey Joe (Pip) - 4:19 Dragon (Santa) - 5:03 + Miracle My Posse Can Do Drive All Night The PS22 Chorus is not a middle, intermediate, or high school group.
