The Complaints Choir invites people to complain as much as they want and to sing their complaints out loud together with fellow complainers. The first choir was organised in Birmingham followed by other cities around the globe. The lyrics were written by the Choir, the song was composed and conducted by Chong Wai Lun. A project by Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. Produced by Fringe Festival Singapore 2008.

Finnish artists Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen collected the pet peeves and angst-ridden pleas of people in Helsinki and then composed this choral work around the list of complaints. Music composed by Esko Grundström.

More than 100 older adults attended the Seniors Prom & Variety Show held at Providence Place in High Point, NC. This event was held May 1st as the kick-off for Create & Celebrate Elder Arts... Enhancing Communities, Enriching Lives sponsored by Center for Creative Aging - NC. Create & Celebrate is a month-long celebration of the creativity of older adults in the Triad featuring art exhibits, an arts and health fair, storytelling, poetry, educational presentations and musical, vocal and theatrical performances. Create & Celebrate aims to raise awareness of aging issues, reduce stigma associated with Alzheimers and related dementia, and improve the quality of life of older adults through creative engagement. The intention is that this celebration of arts and aging will become an annual state-wide event, drawing national attention and becoming a model for other states to emulate.
