This is after just four 20-30 minute voice lessons. The biggest difference in this video versus the others is in the neck area - look at all the tension in my neck in the earlier videos. So far, I've worked on relaxing and breathing correctly to release tension in my neck; focusing my voice and keeping my tongue forward, and dropping my larnyx. These are all things that should help the quality and resonance of my voice over time. We are also working on vocal agility. Eventually, we'll work on expanding my range and my ability to sing extended phrases. If you are interested in the Singers Advantage CDs, by all means get them just because they are fun to do and you get some useful vocal exercises. But if you want to see a significant change in the way you sing, voice lessons are the way to go. I am completely sold on them, in spite of their expense. (I did the Singer's Advantage workout for about three weeks last October, uploaded a couple of videos, and then misplaced the lesson CD. Then the holidays came along and YouTube/singing took a hiatus from my life. Two months ago, I decided to invest in biweekly guitar/voice lessons, and I've had 4 so far, and am logging my progress (hopefully) over time on YouTube :)
