I recorded this last night but for some reason, it's not processing on youtube, so I decided to just re-record it. :-) http://www.vocalist.org.uk/vocal_health.html http://www.texasvoicecenter.com/advice.html http://www.musickit.com/resources/vocal.html My first tip is DRINK WATER! You want to drink at least 6-8 (8 oz. glasses) cups of water a day. If you drink any caffeinated drinks such as coffee, soda or some tea's, you need to up your intake of water. Caffeinated drinks dehydrate your body, and your vocal chords are part of your body. Plus, since water goes to your stomach first and has to go through your entire system before it hydrates your vocal chords. Make sure you start drinking water well in advance before you start singing, but please don't drink something like Gatorade because the sugar will just coat your throat and a crapload of mucus will be there so don't drink Gatorade. Water is the best thing. If you are getting sick or are sick. Try to be on as much vocal rest as possible. Again drink plenty of water. "Organic Throat Coat" does wonder's for your vocal chords too. You can get it at any health store that sells vitamins such as GNC. www.gnc.com Honey is also something that helps with your voice too. So I recommend putting the honey in your throat coat tea to help sweeten it up. Using actual sugar will defeat the purpose. Milk and creamers with defeat the purpose as well.
